The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a read more result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue produced for intervention encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
